Ah ok. That makes sense. Hard to keep up with the trends. People keep telling me I need to go to TikTok. But not sure I have another social media in me.
Do you have any evidence the stats are actually fuddled and it isn’t just your community leaving? I find plenty of discourse on my timeline that interests me, not in topics related to my specific industry but a lot of relatable intelligent groups seem to be thriving
Since they are internal numbers, X isn't going to simply release them. But the digital marking site Similarweb has an estimate that is commonly cited in media reports.
My community would be academics (definitely left and definitely biased to the left) and urbanists (who should be a little more broadly spread but some bias). Then there are my friends from back in Oklahoma, none remain on the site, all fairly politically right and more 'normie' if you want to use that word.
There are still good people and great accounts there. LindyMan, WrathofGnon, VB Knives. I would pretty much stay on the site just to follow those guys. But it has thinned out and keeps thinning more. There is no doubt there. The Twitter of the ole days isn't walking through that door.

The site has become almost unusable. I face rate limits and am flagged as a bot. A couple of weeks ago almost all of my accounts were fembots.
Yep, and the most annoying thing is I keep seeing big accounts claiming nothing has changed. Site’s been geared for those accounts.
My experience was mediocre for more than a year but it really fell apart recently
